Dylan mixer

Bass Drum Technician

Dylan graduated from Dixie Hollins High School in 2011, after serving as section leader for the drum line for 3 years in a row. In 2012, he went on to march snare for the Tampa Bay Thunder Drum & Bugle Corps, and for a second time in 2013 when he returned as Percussion Captain and center snare.  Dylan also got his first taste of WGI in 2013 when he marched with finalists Bay Area Percussion, under the direction of Jeremy Vest and Sean Philips. In 2015, he aged out with Ancient City Ensemble, and is looking forward to returning to instruct alongside some of his greatest mentors.

Dylan holds an A.S. degree in Music Composition through St. Petersburg College.  He has studied music under many great teachers at SPC such as Pat Hernly, John Shaw,  Jeff Donovick, Mark Mathews, David Greenberg, and Vernon Tarranto.

His previous teaching experience includes battery instruction at Dixie Hollins and percussion coordination at Osceola Fundamental High School. He is currently serving his 3rd year as percussion coordinator at Largo High School and Largo’s indoor program, Phoenix Percussion Ensemble.

Beyond ACE, Dylan aspires to write music for film and television.
